Blocking porn in a WhatsApp group is one of the most serious concerns for anyone who runs one, especially when the group brings together family, coworkers, customers or teenagers. All it takes is an unknown number joining and dropping an image for the mood to change at once.

This guide shows the real risk, what you can do inside WhatsApp itself, how Becca analyzes images and deletes inappropriate content, and what to do when the case is more serious than indecency.

Why this is serious

Inappropriate content in a group is not just embarrassing. The practical effects are usually these:

  • Members exposed without wanting to be, sometimes at work, at school or in front of family
  • Mass exits and lost trust in the group and in whoever runs it
  • Reports against the group, which become one more problem for admins to solve
  • Higher risk when minors are among the participants

As an admin, the group looks to you when this happens. That is why it is worth having a ready response instead of depending on being online at that moment.

What to do inside WhatsApp

The app offers the basics, and they work when you see it in time:

  • Delete for everyone: take the message out of the group so nobody else sees it
  • Remove the person: without them, there is no second attempt
  • Approve new members: screen who arrives before they send anything
  • Send messages, Only admins: close the group if the attack continues
  • Report: use WhatsApp's own report option against whoever sent it

The weak point is time. Between the image appearing and an admin seeing it, everyone who had the group open has already seen it.

!antiporno: AI that checks images for you

With Becca as an admin, !antiporno uses artificial intelligence to analyze the images sent in the group, including view-once ones, and deletes the ones that are pornographic. You turn it on with !antiporno and choose the punishment level in the menu: Only Delete, Delete & Remove, Delete & Warn or Delete & Mute. All of them delete the image.

For porn, we recommend Delete & Remove. People who send this kind of content rarely do it by mistake, and Delete & Warn or Delete & Mute only give a second chance to someone who does not deserve one. Admins and anyone on !autorizar are never punished. At the Delete & Remove level, Becca acts silently by default; for her to tell the group, set a message with !msganti antiporn | your text (to take it off, !rmmsganti antiporn).

In practice
๐Ÿ”ž Inappropriate image deleted and @member removed from the group. Adult content is not allowed here.

!antiporno looks at images (including view-once ones), not videos or stickers. No automatic analysis is perfect: it can miss a case or delete an innocent image. Treat !antiporno as a safety net that works 24 hours a day, not as a replacement for an admin's eyes.

Add layers when the risk is high

In groups with many strangers or with teenagers, it is worth tightening up. Each of these commands blocks an entire type of media from non-admins, and uses the same punishment levels:

  • !antiimg blocks any image
  • !antivideo blocks any video
  • !antifig blocks stickers, which can also be used for this kind of content
  • !antivisuunica blocks view-once messages, which disappear after being opened

The cost is clear: nobody in the group can send a photo, video or sticker. It makes sense in an announcements, work or school group. In a loose chat group, leave only !antiporno on.

Repeat offenders and 18+ commands

If someone you removed insists on coming back, use !addlistanegra @member: with the person on the blacklist, Becca removes them immediately every time they join again.

Becca also has 18+ commands, which stay locked until an admin turns on !nsfw. Do not mix them up: !antiporno protects the group from what members send, while !nsfw unlocks commands from Becca herself. In an open group or one with minors, keep !nsfw off (!nsfw 0).

Tip: For porn, use Delete & Remove and pin the rule at the top of the group. People who see both the rule and the notice understand that the group takes it seriously.

When minors are involved

If any sexual content involving children or teenagers appears, do not forward it, do not share it and do not discuss it in the group. Report it through WhatsApp itself and to the authorities. In Brazil, SaferNet receives reports of child sexual abuse and exploitation content on the internet.

Deleting the content and removing the person takes the problem out of the group's sight, but it does not replace a report. A bot is a barrier, not an investigation, and the authorities are the ones who can act against whoever did it.

Next step

Pin the adult content rule today, turn on Approve new members and agree with the other admins on what to do in a serious case. To have the protection working 24 hours a day, add Becca to the group (R$ 15 per group per month, no lock-in, Pix or card), make her an admin, send !antiporno and choose Delete & Remove. She does the rest on her own.
