WhatsApp group games and activities: with and without a bot
Fun activities for a WhatsApp group that really work: ideas that need only the chat, others with Becca, and a clear line of common sense so nobody is embarrassed.
Activities for a WhatsApp group are the cheapest way to get quiet people talking. You do not need a prize or a rulebook: you need a light question that anyone can answer in ten seconds.
This guide has two parts: activities you run with the chat alone, and activities Becca runs (some of them only work once an admin turns on Fun Mode). At the end, a word about common sense, which is what keeps the fun going for everyone.
Activities that only need the chat
These work in any group, with any number of people and with nothing to set up:
- Who is most likely to...: someone posts the line (arrive late to their own birthday, for example) and everyone answers by tagging a friend
- Old photo challenge: everyone sends a photo from years ago and the others guess the era or the place
- The sticker that defines you: everyone sends the sticker that best sums up the week they had
- Complete the sentence: something like "Everybody here knows that I..." and the answer with the most reactions wins
- This or that: one two-option question per day (beach or countryside, coffee or tea)
The secret is consistency. One activity a day, always with the same kind of question, becomes a habit. Ten activities in a single day become noise.
How to organize without chaos
A loose activity gets lost in the middle of the chat. Pick a time, tell the group and pin the rule in one message (tap and hold the message and choose Pin). For votes, use the native WhatsApp poll in the attachment clip: voting is easier than typing, and the result shows up on its own. Also agree on who closes the round. Without an admin saying "that is it", the activity drags on for two days and nobody remembers who won.
Activities with Becca
Once the group is already answering, Becca steps in to set the pace. These work with nothing to set up and get laughs without anyone organizing anything:
- !chance: gives the chance of something happening, as in !chance rain at the barbecue
- !sorte: shows your luck level as a percentage
- !piada, !cantada, !curiosidade and !conselho: ready-made content to open a topic
- !dado: rolls a die, good for deciding who starts or who buys the coffee, as in !dado d20
These are random answers, made to start conversation and not to be taken as truth. That is exactly what makes people play at disputing the result.
When the chat cools down: Fun Mode
When the conversation dies, the group gets a bigger toolbox: an admin turns on !modobn once to unlock the activities below. Do not use everything at once: pick one a day and keep the rest in reserve.
- !ship: calculates the compatibility between two tagged members (if you tag nobody, she picks two at random)
- !when: answers when something will happen, as in !when I get rich
- !myday: drops a comment about your day, depending on the time
- !escolher: creates a would-you-rather poll with two ready options
- !ppt: rock, paper, scissors against Becca (send the command followed by rock, paper or scissors, in the language set for the group)
- !akinator: the guess-the-character game, answering the questions in the chat
- !abraco, !beijo, !carinho, !cutucar and !tapinha: interaction GIFs aimed at a tagged member
Common sense: the limit of the fun
An activity that embarrasses someone is not a game, it is humiliation with an audience. A few simple rules keep the mood good:
- Tag only people who already agreed to take part, especially with !ship and the interaction GIFs
- Stay away from jokes about the looks, weight, relationships or money of a specific person
- If someone asked to stop, the activity stops, no discussion
- In a group with people from different circles (work, family, friends), prefer neutral activities such as this or that and !escolher
A good test: if the tagged person is not laughing along, the activity went too far. Apologize in the group, delete the message if you can and move on.
Tip: Spend one week with chat-only activities. When the group already answers without being called, that is when you bring Becca in to set the pace.
Next step
Pick two no-bot activities for this week and pin the rule in the group. If people enjoy them and ask for more, add Becca: R$ 15 per group per month, no lock-in, paid by Pix or card. Try !chance today, turn on !modobn to add !escolher, and see which one the group repeats on its own.
